Yoga for Children in Need

Abandoned children and people with disability

In Vietnam, many abandoned babies and people with disabilities face serious challenges. Some infants are left at hospitals, markets, or near pagodas due to poverty, family pressure, or social stigma. Pagodas, churches, and charitable groups often take them in, providing shelter and care. Many of these facilities, however, operate quietly and are not publicly listed or widely known.

People with disabilities also face daily barriers: inaccessible sidewalks, buildings, public transport, and a lack of wheelchairs or assistive devices. Many rely on family or charity support to meet basic needs.

While the government provides limited support, NGOs, religious organizations, and local communities play a crucial role in offering care, mobility aids, education, and vocational training. Greater awareness, accessibility, and community-based support remain essential to improve the lives of these vulnerable groups.

A circle of love awaits you. Give a penny. We make an opportunity to children.

I wish I could have had a child of my own, but life did not grant me that. I have accepted what life has given me, yet my heart longs to care for many children, not just one from mine. Every child deserves an equal chance: food to eat, water to drink, a school to learn, and a space to play.

Life doesn’t always turn out as we dream, but I want to bring a little hope and joy to children in need in any way I can. I may not be able to give billions, but I can create a “piggy bank,” a place where everyone can contribute, even a single penny.

The questions I ask myself: Who am I? Where am I? Why am I here? What do I want? That gave me an idea for a small action.

Through this simple act, we can share love, offer opportunities, stay connected, and open our hearts in compassion to children who need it most. Together, small contributions can make a significant impact.

I believe in the power of a small action!

Story 1: Sharing yoga, spreading hope: helping three orphans in Tây Ninh

With the guidance and compassion of my yogi, I was inspired to take action in a small village in Tây Ninh, Vietnam. There, I met three children—grades 3, 4, and 6, aged 9, 10, and 12—living with their grandmother. Their grandmother is 70 years old and has only one functioning eye. She works tirelessly peeling cashew nut skins, earning just 1–2 euros a day, while caring for the children when they are not at school. Despite her struggles, her love for them shines through. During my first visit, I presented yogi, who was able to provide financial support and two refurbished bicycles (pictures taken 08.03.2026) so the children could travel to school safely and with joy. Seeing their smiles as they rode through the village was unforgettable. Looking ahead, I, along with two Vietnamese friends, will dedicate our time to teaching the children subjects they need help with, offering guidance and care as surrogate parents. Beyond education, we hope to support them with hygiene items for the girls, school supplies like books and notebooks, and nourishing food. I would try 40-50 euros per month.  Yoga has taught me that even a small action, fueled by compassion, can ripple out to change lives. By sharing what we have, we can bring hope, joy, and opportunity to those who need it most. We are deeply grateful to our yogi, whose guidance inspired this journey, and to all the donors whose generosity makes this support possible. Your kindness is helping these children dream bigger and brighter.

Story 2: Rising above agent orange: A girl’s journey to education and health

In a small village in Tây Ninh, Vietnam, I met a remarkable 15-year-old girl whose courage and determination are truly inspiring.  She is on the bike (picture taken 02.03.2026). Her mother was affected by Agent Orange during the Vietnam War and has some physical and communication difficulties. Despite these challenges, she works tirelessly as a “ve chai”, collecting scrap, recyclables, and old bottles to sell at the local junkyard. Her father works as a day laborer, taking any job he can find. Together, the family earns only about 4–5 euros a day. The girl dreams of becoming a veterinarian and is studying at a skills college to achieve this goal. Her determination to pursue her passion, despite her family’s hardships, is truly admirable. With the support of our yogi, we were able to gift her a refurnished electric bike, making her commute to school safer and easier. Seeing her joy and independence as she rode away was unforgettable. Looking ahead, I plan to continue supporting her, particularly with her health, education, and overall well-being, so that she can continue chasing her dreams without the burden of daily hardships.  I would try 40-50 euros per month. Yoga and compassion have taught me that even small actions can create hope and open doors to a brighter future. We are deeply grateful to our yogi and all the donors whose generosity made this support possible. Your kindness helps her ride toward her dreams and inspires hope for a better life.
